Providing Individual, Couples and Family Counseling
My philosophy is that people have an inborn ability to grow towards their fullest potential. When provided with a safe, nurturing, supportive, and collaborative environment, new insights, health, healing and skills can flourish.
An objective, trained professional can often provide a “guiding light” for successful adaptation to life's changes and challenges.
My eclectic approach allows me to tailor my support and guidance to the particular needs and strengths of each individual. This includes some “non-verbal” and fun modalities such as Play Therapy, Sand-Play Therapy, Art, Movement and Music Therapy. As clients come to better understand themselves and share those new insights with me, I often offer specific recommendations with client's goals in mind. Quality psychotherapy might also be described as a synergistic collaboration between clients and me.

I see individuals of all ages as well as couples, and families. With my developmental approach, I strive to enhance adjustments through each phase of life - childhood, adolescence, adulthood, marriage, parenting, and aging. All life transitions have their joys and challenges. My specialties are in early childhood development, parenting, marriage and family, women’s issues, and intimacy issues between couples.
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and often describe myself as a developmental psychologist, supporting healthy life-span development. The bulk of my professional career has focused on Child and Family Therapy. In addition to my private practice, I’ve worked for the Therapeutic Nursery, Early Intervention Service (0-3 Program with the DOH), and I’m a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I was an Elementary School Counselor and later a consultant for the DOE. More recently I’ve added a specialty in Women’s Issues and Healthy Aging. I’ve worked with a broad range of client issues and intervene with eclectic, appropriate, and flexible strategies.
